Peak membership, and the Rainbow Girls take the stage
1931
Grand Lodge returns for 1931 recorded 894 members, the lodge’s all-time peak. In May the Heights Rainbow Girls held their first public installation in the new temple, twenty named teenagers taking the stage before their families.
The Garden Club’s spring flower show moved into the building’s exhibition hall the same season. The temple had opened as exactly what its floor plan promised: a civic machine for the whole neighborhood.
