A hundred couples and a tap dancer
1933
More than one hundred couples answered invitations to a graduation dancing party at the temple in May 1933, hosted by Miss Helen Willis and Blair Rowland. Delbert Operpriller performed a tap dance between numbers, and two vocalists sang.
The temple had become the Heights’ default celebration hall, the place a graduating class naturally chose for its biggest night.
