A developer takes the corner

In April 1979, by the Post’s later account, developer T. S. Terry acquired the property, and the corner’s longest-lasting modern chapter began to take shape. The deed, dated April 6, 1979, names the grantee as “Harvard House,” the name under which the joint venture he managed filed the condominium declaration in 1985. The Heights revival that would eventually sweep the whole neighborhood started early at this address, with a developer willing to bet on a fifty-year-old landmark before the market agreed.
